Government will not interfere with resolutions of Tripartite National Wage Committee, labour minister insists

The National Statistical Office of Thailand (NSO) is urging the government to further promote basic rights, social security and labour protection for workers in the informal sector, citing 2023 statistics that show that more than half of Thailand’s workforce (52.3%) or some 21 million people are informal workers.
